WWE’s Corey Graves breaks his silence on the recent demotion
After his return to NKST, WWE commentator Corey Graves has seemingly broken his silence on the matter. He expressed his frustrations on social networks.
In a post on X, formerly Twitter, Graves gave fans an update on his status. He doesn’t seem happy about where he is right now, as it sounds like he’s been told he’s not “famous enough” to stay on the main roster.
“Imagine chasing your dream.” Then you are TOLD (not decided) that you are no longer physically able to achieve your dream,” his post began. “Then you commit your life to something ‘next door dream’ and you’re pretty freaking great at it.” And then, when it’s time to enjoy the fruits of your labor, when you’re told you’re not famous enough for your job.
“Just in case you were wondering where I’ve been,” Graves’ post concluded.
He was recently paired with Michael Cole on Monday Night RAW August 26, 2024, doc Pat McAfee was on break due to his duties with ESPN GameDay. Vade Barrett and the recently debuted Joe Tessitore then took over RAW while Cole and Graves moved to SmackDown.
Now, with McAfee back in the picture, who may be more “famous” than Graves, he’s been brought back to NKST. Barrett and Tessitore moved to SmackDown, while Cole and McAfee made up Netflix’s RAW commentary team. There’s only so much room at the table, and Graves is a strange man.
We’ll have to wait and see if this rant leads to anything. Graves has not been a commentator on NKST since 2017. He is currently paired with Vic Joseph and Booker T.
