Warriors’ Draymond Green realizes what his Jordan Poole tweet really meant
Golden State Warriors a veteran Draymond Green opened his message for Washington Wizards guard and former teammate Jordan Poole. Green issued a four-word apology to Poolewho was punched by Draymond during a Warriors practice in 2022. The altercation eventually led to Jordan joining the Wizards.
Green issued his apology at a recent episode from The Draymond Green Show with Baron Davis.
“I answered because it has been 3 years; let’s move on. We moved on. You should move on. “I’m really sorry,” Green said. “That statement was as if she was asking for sympathy.” It’s like he wanted to make me out to be a bad guy, go ahead bro, that’s right, sorry, I shouldn’t have hit him, but it happened.
The altercation between Poole and Green prompted a response from Jordan’s father.
“I even apologized to his parents,” Green added. “His dad came up on the internet one time and I got back at him because, bro, why are you popping? I actually didn’t like myself for it because I wasn’t even on it. I kind of let him take me off my square a little bit. I said what I said about it.”
However, Green admits that he talks about his regrets for several days.
“I kind of go back and forth with this on, like, I’ll be kind of in between certain days. “I know I was wrong, but you can’t call a man the ‘B word’ and push him without getting hit,” Green said. “So sometimes I sit in both of those spaces.” The reality is that the answer lies somewhere in the middle. I shouldn’t have knocked him out like that; if anything, I should have covered him; it was kind of a natural reaction.”

“Yeah, I love those guys over there. I love most of those guys over there,” Poole said. “Really good group. Really good staff. Shout out to the fans. I saw a lot of 3 jerseys there, a lot of JP3 jerseys, which is always really cool. I always get a lot of love (here). I’ve had a good time here and it’s nice to see that it’s appreciated.”
The Warriors will face the Kings on Wednesday.
