Travis Kelce details his experience on the set of Adam Sandler’s ‘Happy Gilmore 2’
Travis Kelce maybe he’s trading the football field for the gold rate – at least temporarily. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end starred in Adam Sandler’s film Happy Gilmore 2 — sequel to Sandler’s 1996 comedy.
In an interview with Variety, Kelce revealed how it was a great opportunity that he works alongside the veteran actor.
“It was a dream come true.” “I thought SNL would be the pinnacle of my acting and showmanship or entertainment career,” the tight end told the publication. “Working with Happy Gilmore himself, Sandman and Happy Productions, it was off the chain.”
“They are so professional and yet so much fun to work with.” “I felt like I was working with the Andy Reid of the acting world,” he added. “(Sandler) is just as cool off screen as he is on screen. It was a dream come true. That was great.”
Sandler blessed fans with a trailer for Happy Gilmore 2 during the holiday season. Fans got to see Kelce in action when the trailer opens with the athlete saying, “Glad to have you back, Mr. Gilmore.” Later in the trailer, you see Bud Bunny helping Sandler on the green as his caddy.
