The Rams shut out Tyler Higbee for the remainder of the Vikings game


The Los Angeles Rams dominate Minnesota Vikings 27-9 early in the fourth quarter of their wild card matchup. The Rams were in control throughout the contest despite being forced to play their own game home game in Arizona due to the large fires in southern California. LA leaned back Tyler Higbee but when the team built a comfortable lead in the first half. But veteran end the day is over.

Higbee had eight receptions for 66 yards and two touchdowns in three regular season games. However, he provided a big punch to the Rams in his short time in the Wild Card game, catching five passes for 58 yards. He remains LA’s leading receiver as the contest enters the fourth quarter.

The The Vikings were 1.5 point favorites in the match with LA. But the quarterback Sam Darnold struggled against a strong Rams defense. The veteran passer was held to 197 yards with one touchdown and two turnovers and was sacked seven times. One of those sacks led to a huge one scoop-and-score for Rams rookie Jared Vers.

After a stellar season in which Darnold threw for over 4,000 yards and 35 touchdowns, the wheels have come off the Vikings wagon over the past two weeks. In the regular season finale, the Detroit Lions blasted Minnesota 31-9 to win the NFC North. Now, in the first round of the playoffs, the Vikings are down 27-9 with just over seven minutes remaining.
