The Rams are sending a message to people affected by the Palisade fire

The Los Angeles Rams face the Minnesota Vikings in the NFC Wild Card matchup at SoFi Stadium on Monday night, but they still care address Southern California residents who are currently experiencing severe hardship.

“Our hearts go out to those affected by the Palisades Fire and the first responders protecting our community,” the team’s official X account posted. “Be safe.”

Concerns are high after a wildfire spread through Pacific Palisades Tuesday morning, damaging homes and causing widespread panic in the area. The natural disaster has since intensified and reached Malibu and Santa Monica. Mass evacuations followed, around 30,000 people left their homes.

Los Angeles Lakers head coach JJ Redick, whose family is among those dropped out, issued a heartfelt statement to the many other residents suffering this crisis, before Tuesday’s game against the Dallas Mavericks. LA as a whole is reeling during this extremely difficult time, as firefighters do their best to mitigate the devastation.

California Governor Gavin Newsom said state of emergency and asked people to evacuate. “This is a very dangerous storm that creates an extreme fire risk, and we’re not out of the woods,” he told Fox 11 Los Angeles.

The Rams are focused on playing the 14-3 Vikings in the NFL playoffs, but they can’t just ignore the meltdown happening around them. Sustaining those who live near the fire certainly puts a strain on the franchise and everyone who follows this terrible phenomenon.

While recovery efforts will be extensive, the top priority at this time is preventing further carnage. Our prayers go out to everyone in the high risk areas and to the brave men and women working hard to fight the fires. No deaths have been reported at this time.
