Stephen Curry sends a fiery message to the Warriors from the keyboard after a huge victory

It has become apparent, especially in the last month, that 2024-25 Golden State Warriors have fallen far from the unit they once were. It was many are calling for the Warriors to upgrade the roster via trade just to be able to give Stephen Curry and Draymond Green another chance to compete for a championship. But Curry isn’t saying anything about it, as he responded to these fan outcries following the Warriors’ 116-115 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday night.

Curry, in a postgame appearance on ESPN’s SportsCenter, had a fiery message for fans who have done nothing but run the trade machine and take care of it amid their ongoing battles with mediocrity.

“All the tweeters who have deals we need to make can shut up and let us figure this thing out.” We know we can be competitive. We showed that toughness tonight. Obviously, every team is trying to find ways to get better. For us, you know, we’ve been great for a long time. This is just a unique year where we have to be able to stay relevant to give ourselves a chance. Have some life in the playoff series. We have a lot of confidence that we can beat anybody,” Curry said via ClutchPoints on X (formerly Twitter).

It was a a bit of panic among the Warrior faithful when Curry, Green and even Steve Kerr had a glaring lack of urgency after tripping on a banana peel in a loss to the Toronto Raptors. But Curry has definitely given the Warriors the benefit of the doubt, though only time will tell if they can be competitive in a crowded West without a change or two.

It looked like the Warriors were going to let another very winnable game slip away from them. The Timberwolves attacked late, putting Golden State in another pressure situation where they’ve struggled quite a bit lately. But Stephen Curry made sure the Warriors went home victorious on Wednesday night.

With the score tied at 108, Curry made a corner three that he knew was going before it went through the net. This gave the Warriors the lead for good. Curry finished with 31 points on 10-21 shooting from the field (7-12 from the field) as the Dubs returned to .500 with a 20-20 record.
