Why the Spurs could cover the spread/win

Victor Wembanyama continues to buzz around the Spurs’ strength, averaging 25.1 points and 10.8 rebounds per game and shooting 47.9 percent from the floor. Finally, in two games against the Lakers, he shot 46.6 percent, averaging 24 points and 12 rebounds, but he also turned the ball over nine times. Devin Vassell enters this game averaging 15.2 points per game while shooting 42.8 percent. It is significant that he averaged 14.5 points per game while shooting 47.8 percent against the Lakers this season.

Jeremy Sochan is dealing with a back injury, but is averaging 13.4 points and eight rebounds per game while shooting 53 percent from the field. However, he did not play in a single game against the Lakers and will have to prove that he can contribute to a win over the Lakers. Keldon Johnson is averaging 12.5 points per game while shooting 45.5 percent. However, he scored just eight points per game while shooting 40 percent from the floor against the Lakers.

Regardless, if the Lakers are going to play this game, they need to find a way to focus on the task at hand. It will be difficult, but they have to manage.

Davis has been excellent this season, averaging 25.8 points and 11.9 rebounds per game while shooting 51.9 percent from the hardwood. Of course, he was instrumental in both wins against the Spurs, averaging 29.5 points and 13 rebounds per game, including 40 points on November 15th. James averaged 23.8 points and 8.8 assists per game while shooting 50.7 percent from the floor. Additionally, he is averaging 15.5 points, 13 rebounds and 11.5 assists per game against the Spurs this season with triple-doubles in both games.

Austin Reaves continued to be excellent, averaging 18.3 points per game while shooting 43.8 percent from the floor.
