Scottie Pippen gets brutally honest about ‘difficult’ Michael Jordan
The relationship between Chicago Bulls legends Scottie Pippen and Michael Jordan looks like it’s not all peaches and cream. Pippen he recently went on a podcast and said that two players do not have much personal relationship when you play together, by Hoops Hype.
“He’s a very difficult person to deal with,” Pippen told the PBD Podcast. “I’ve played with him for years, so I know that when it’s time to go your way, go your way, don’t sit there and try to drag it out or stretch it out so the relationship isn’t where it was or not what it used to be and it will never be the same again, so why try to make something out of nothing, or try to make something that never was existed.
So, yes, a great teammate, but we were never great friends.”
The former Bulls player, who left Chicago after the 1997-98 season, discussed his time with Jordan while on the show. Pippen and Jordan won six NBA titles togetherwhile playing for the Bulls in the 1990s.

Pippen had a very long NBA career, playing for several different franchises. He will be most famously known for playing as Robin for Jordan’s Batman during their time with the Bulls. Pippen retired from basketball after the 2003-4 season.

Pippen recently appeared on a podcast and talked about his time with the Windy City franchise. It wasn’t all negative, as Pippen joked that if apps had existed in the 1990s, Jordan and company would have been the kings of social media.
It was recently revealed that Cristiano Ronaldo has 647 million followers on Instagram. Pippen thinks Jordan he would compose more.
“I think he would probably double that, to be honest,” Pippen added.
Pippen finished his career as one of the best NBA players of his time. He scored a total of 18,940 points and 7,494 rebounds. Pippen was selected fifth overall in the 1987 NBA Draft by the Seattle SuperSonics. The trade immediately sent him to Chicago, and the rest is history.
After leaving Chicago, Pippen played for the Houston Rockets and Portland Trail Blazers. He last returned to the Bulls during the 2003-4 campaign.
The Bulls were never the same without Jordan and Pippenas the franchise continues to seek its first NBA title since the 1998 season.
