Saquon Barkley’s NSFV takes on ‘ugly’ win against Packers
The Philadelphia Eagles advanced past Green Bay Packers in Sunday’s Wild Card round, thanks in large part to Saquon Barkley is a good scorewith 119 rushes on 25 carries. However, his performance lacked a touchdown. After the game, Barkley shared his thoughts on how he and the team played.
Statistics don’t matter to Saquon Barkley
“It doesn’t matter what it looks like.” The most important thing is to win football matches. …Statistics don’t matter. All that matters is that winning streak,” Barkley said.
Barclay favors team wins regarding personal accomplishments, the mindset was evident in his response when head coach Nick Sirianni informed him he would be out for the rest of the regular season, missing out on a chance to break Eric Dickerson’s single-season rushing record.
“Whether we throw for 400 yards, rush for 400 yards, or go 3-0, I don’t care, to be honest. I just want to win. You think that’s the mindset of the team. “I know that’s the mindset of the team,” the Eagles’ star quarterback continued.
With 1:09 left on Sunday and the Eagles leading 22-10, Barkley ran for what could have been a 76-yard touchdown. Instead, he decided to slide at the Philadelphia 41-yard line. One last shot ended the game.
Had he scored, the Eagles would have extended their lead to three scores, leaving the Packers virtually no chance to catch up. However, it was an easy way to secure the win while disappointing those who were betting on Barkley finding the end zone during the game.

Barkley with the most touchdown bets of any time in three playoff games Sunday night
As ESPN’s David Purdum reported, Barkley drew more bets to score a touchdown against the Packers than any other player in Sunday’s three NFL playoff games at multiple bookmakers.
Barkley’s prop for a touchdown anytime, at odds of -165, was the most popular bet of the day at BetMGM. He was followed by Marvin Mims (+260) and Josh Allen (-130), who also missed a field goal in the earlier Broncos-Bills game.
After the game, Barkley explained that he wasn’t tempted to go for the long touchdown, which would have increased his rushing total from 119 yards to 178.
“The first down is to win the game, so it’s first down and down,” Barkley said.
The Packers’ season has come to an end as Barkley and the Eagles wait to find out their next opponent. Philadelphia will face either Tampa Bay, the Vikings or the Rams in the next round of the playoffs.
