Player Knicks shop in trade talks

Sims was selected in the second round of the 2021 NBA Draft. He was selected by the Knicks and has been with the organization ever since. He played his college basketball in Texas.
This season, Sims is averaging 1.7 points and 3.6 rebounds per game. New York is 26-15 on the season after losing to the Detroit Pistons on Monday night.

Sims hasn’t made much of an impact in New York since the Knicks drafted him. He saw his minutes decrease this season. His best campaign came in 2022-23, when Sims averaged 3.4 points and 4.7 rebounds per game.
New York is trying to build a championship-caliber roster. The Knicks bowed out to Indiana in the NBA playoffs last season, and Knicks fans are thirsty for that ever-elusive NBA championship.
