Paul George Out Against Lakers As 76ers Star MRI Results Await



Paul George once again dealing with injury, costing him even more time in his debut season Philadelphia 76ers. The veteran star will miss at least one more game, his 15th absence of the 2024-25 season.

Just like Joel Embiid is making progress in his latest recovery from knee injuriesGeorge is dealing with a left pinky finger injury that sidelined him midway through the final game of the Sixers. Philly will be without two veteran stars for at least one more game as they each continue their respective recoveries.

According to Phillyvoice’s Adam Aronson, George will not play Tuesday against the Los Angeles Lakers. The results of his MRI are still being reviewed.

During six of the 109-97 victory over the Chicago Bulls, George he stuck his left pinky on Nikola Vučević’s hand While they were going for a jump. He woke up soon and didn’t come back.

After previously dealing with two knee hyperextensions earlier in the season, George was mostly healthy for six. He has missed just five games since the start of December, including two recent absences due to a groin injury. The results of his MRI will dictate how long his current absence from the lineup will be.

In 30 games, George is averaging 17.1 points, 5.6 rebounds and 4.7 assists per contest. His shooting has been disappointing all season, but his shooting is starting to look more respectable: 42.9 percent from the field, 36.5 percent from deep and 82.3 percent from the foul line.

The 76ers’ game on Tuesday is the first of a back-to-back at the Wells Fargo Center. They will face the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday and are hoping PG can join them. Ebdid remains awarded for both games, but despite a respective injury to each star, the six Big 3 could be reunited again relatively soon relatively.
