Mike Woodson cut back on regular postgame appearances after the Illinois debacle

The Indiana basketball the team had a rough start this season as they had some ugly performances in Battle 4 Atlantis and things were not looking good for the head coach Mike Woodson. Woodson’s seat was already hot this season, and it didn’t help. However, the Hoosiers started to play much better after that. Entering Tuesday night’s game against Illinois, Indiana had won five of its last six games and was 13-4. Then they lost 94-69 at home to the Fighting Illini.

at this moment, most Indiana basketball fans want Mike Woodson gone. He was on thin ice entering the Illinois game, and his team had turned in a completely uninspiring performance. To make matters worse, Woodson skipped his postgame radio interview.

“Mike Woodson did not join Don Fisher for postgame radio interview,” Inside the hall the announcement said.

According to Don Fisher, this is not something Woodson has done this year.

“This is the first of the year,” Fisher said.

Everything about the Illinois game was disastrous for Woodson and the Indiana basketball team. The first two minutes were good as the Hoosiers led 6-5 at one point, and then everything went downhill.

After going on a 10-8 run, the Hoosiers didn’t score for nearly five minutes, and the Fighting Illini were able to extend their lead to double digits. Things continued to get worse from there.

Illinois had a 30-point lead in the first half at one point, and they ended up scoring 60 points in the first half. The game was over by halftime as the Fighting Illini held a 60-32 lead and were on cruise control throughout the second half.

The Indiana basketball program has a very proud history and they are not used to losing like this. The Hoosiers were at home, and in the first half they lost by 30 points. It just doesn’t happen often, and the fans aren’t happy.

At this point, it wouldn’t be surprising to see Indiana move on from Woodson midseason. If that doesn’t happen, Woodson will have to find a way to turn things around and lead this team to a deep run in the postseason. He has a talent for work.

Woodson and Indiana will look to bounce back from this horrible loss on Friday as they hit the road to take on Ohio State. The Buckeyes and Hoosiers will tip off at 8:00 ET from the Schottenstein Center in Columbus, Ohio, and the game will be televised on Fox.
