Kucherov once again leading contender for the Hart Trophy, and his display on Saturday is just one example of why he is a contender for the award. He is the engine that powers the Lightning’s offense, a transcendent superstar at the peak of his abilities. His hockey IQ is very underrated and he is also in the middle of his physical development. The Russian international only cares about winning more hardware with his teammates. He’s also one of the many reasons why the Bolts are in the midst of a playoff run.

Hedman is revitalized since he became the captain of the team and now he is back in his old form. Guentzel took over the role left behind by former captain Steven Stamkos and has thrived since arriving in Tampa Bay. Goalkeeper Andrei Vasilevskiy continued to work and always gives the Bolts a fighting chance. Braiden Point continued his rise to superstardom, and Brandon Hagel is now a star as well. Coach John Cooper may have the deepest roster he’s had in a long time. Can I get him Stanley Cup number four? If Couch and the rest of his teammates continue at this pace, don’t be surprised if Stanley blacks out again in June.
