“One Western Conference executive insisted this week that the Kings may have the best shot at Johnson … if Brooklyn does prove willing to trade him,” Stein continued. “The executive told me that they see some potential framework of a future first-round pick, packaged with the contracts of Kevin Huerter and Trey Lyles, as a benchmark to beat in trying to convince the Nets to deal Johnson in the next 19 days.” “

The Nets probably received all kinds of trade offers for Johnson, but the Kings may have the best offer. Johnson is one of the better three-point shooters in the league, and adding him will help the Kings a lot. The Kings have also been winning more games lately, and he will help them win even more with his skill set.
The other teams that inquired about Johnson are the Pacers and Orlando Magic, according to ClutchPoint’s Brett Siegel. The Magic need someone who can space the floor next to their stars Franz Wagner and Paolo Bunchero. The team has the worst three-point percentage in the league, and adding Johnson would be one of the best moves they could make.
As for the Pacers, they have been in trade talks with the Nets about Johnson, and he would be a nice addition to their team as they have gotten into a groove over the last few weeks.
