Giannis Antetokounmpo, Nikola Jokic lead the 3rd place vote in the 2025 NBA All-Star Game.
The NBA announced the third result of the fan vote for 2025 NBA All-Star Gamewhich will be hosted by the Golden State Warriors in San Francisco. Giannis Antetokounmpowho led the vote during the first two returns of the fan vote, once again sits atop the NBA with 3.49 million votes. The Milwaukee Bucks the star is the only player in the league who has crossed the threshold of 3 million votes.
As was the case with the last voting results, Denver Nuggets triple MVP Nikola Jokić is behind Đanis with 2.92 million votes.
While Antetokounmpo and Jokic lead the Eastern and Western Conference frontcourts in votes, it is LaMelo Ball and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander who continue to lead these respective conferences in back-to-back voting.
Ball surprisingly remained at the top of the East backcourt voting from fans, as it is now up to 1.9 million votes, an increase of nearly 410,000 votes compared to other fan voting results. In a total of 26 games with the Charlotte Hornets this season, Ball averaged 29.6 points, 7.5 assists and 5.5 rebounds per game.
Gilgeous-Alexander topped the West backcourt vote and is now up to 1.81 million votes, extending his lead over Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry, who received 1.36 million votes.
Aside from Giannis and Jokic, Boston Celtics All-NBA forward Jayson Tatum is the only player in the league to receive over 2 million votes, as he currently has 2.22 million fan votes.

The most significant changes from the second homecoming to the third homecoming revolve around the Cleveland Cavaliers. Darius Garland leapfrogged Jordan Poole and Tyler Hero to take eighth for East backcourt players, and Jarrett Allen moved into the top 10 for East frontcourt players. Evan Mobley also moved from eighth to sixth in East frontcourt voting.
In the West, LeBron James (2.59 million votes) jumped Kevin Durant (2.49 million votes) into second place behind Jokic.
If the fans were to dictate who would start in the NBA All-Star Game, it would be Giannis, Ball, Tatum, Karl-Anthony Towns and Donovan Mitchell representing the East. In the West, the starters would be Jokic, Gilgeous-Alexander, Curry, James and Durant.
The fans have 50% of the vote to decide the All-Star starters. The players and the media panel account for 25 percent each.
This year, the NBA changed the format of the All-Star Game from the traditional Western Conference format to the Eastern Conference. Instead, the players will be divided into three different teams in a tournament-style format where the fourth team at the event will be the winners of the Rising Stars Challenge. Players and fans alike have given mixed reviews to the new format, which the NBA is experimenting with to try to bring back a level of competitiveness to All-Star weekend.
Voting for the 2025 NBA All-Star Game will end on Monday, January 20th at 11:59 PM ET. The 2025 NBA All-Star Game starters will be announced during TNT’s NBA coverage on Thursday, January 23.
