Deion Sanders reveals that Travis Hunter, Shedeur Sanders never attended the class in person

Deion Sanders shared his expertise on college sports on the Million Dollar Games podcast and how student-athletes have been affected by how much athletics has changed over the past few years. The Colorado football coach revealed that his son Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter — who are both athletes on his team — have never taken a college class in person.

“None of them are on campus because things have changed,” Deion said. “They all take classes online and graduate. Shedeur never took a class on campus in his entire college career. Shiloh might be at South Carolina, but I don’t recall Travis ever being on campus either. So they missed out on an entire part of the collegiate experience. But to each their own.”

Hunter, who was just named a Sports Illustrated Breakout Star and won the Heisman Trophy last year, is projected to be the No. 1 pick in the NFL draft, but Shedeur has his eye on being drafted as well. Shedeur told Deion that he didn’t want to emulate his father’s career, but to create his own.

“Shedeur tells me all the time, ‘I’m not him,'” Deion said. “With a straight face — you’re not me.” He has a quiet competition. No offense, but I just heard on his podcast, 2 Legendaries, that his goal was to be drafted higher than me.”

Deion was selected fifth overall by the Atlanta Falcons in the 1989 NFL Draft. He is also a two-time Super Bowl champion, a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame and the College Football Hall of Fame, as well as an eight-time Pro Bowler and nine-time All-Pro.

Deion supported Hunter as his relationship with his fiance Leanna Leneeit made headlines. Rumors began swirling when Hunter accepted his Heisman Trophy last year that his fiancee was unfaithful and/or unhappy with the athlete’s success. As the rumors began to gain even more attention, both of them Lenee and Hunter decided to deactivate their social networks. Deion revealed that he was upset when he found out, Hunter decided to put an end to social media for a moment.

“It hurt me that (has deactivated his account),” said Deion Tamron Hall. “What the enemy wants you to do is stop… Keep moving. Don’t let the enemy get you when you are calm and when you feel sorry for yourself.”

Deion also didn’t want Hunter to suffer financially because the Heisman winner has sponsorships tied to his social media.

“You have support, you have people sponsoring you to talk about their product. “We can’t deactivate, we have to activate immediately,” Sanders continued.

This isn’t the first time Deion has supported Hunter amid online trolls attacking his relationship. He even he gave Hunter a pep talk in front of his teammates on the field.

“I want you to know this in front of everyone.” You know we love you, we have you. We appreciate you. You are him.”

And Shedeur defended his teammate online amid the drama.

“All you athletes, entertainers, artists, etc. if you’re really trying to yell at Trav, you all know how to get in touch with him or someone around,” Shedeur wrote on X. “At this point I’m all just posting for the algorithm trying to make it look cool.”
