Celtics’ Jaylen Brown reveals how injury is ‘messing’ with him
The Boston Celtics fell 117-96 to the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday night, one of the team’s biggest upsets of the season. Star Celtics guard Jaylen Brown didn’t have his best night, scoring 17 points on 19 field goal attempts. He added eight rebounds, three assists and a steal.
cit. Brown long-term injuries as a cause of his struggles, dating back to a Jan. 18 loss to the Atlanta Hawks.
“I’m still trying to get my burst and explosion back,” Brown said. “I haven’t finished a lot of baskets at the rim, just because it’s kind of bugging me.” But it will get there.
“And then I was just a little bit shattered, but I pushed through,” Brown said. “Tonight was not a great performance for our team in terms of energy. I missed a lot of baskets around the rim and my team needs me to make them. So I have to be able to produce for my team.”
Despite going through what the team would consider difficult, Brown is confident in the Celtics‘ the ability to recover as a team and play their best basketball when it matters most.
“I’m not worried, but it’s part of just navigating through the year,” Brown said. “Anything can happen.” We’ve just got to finish the All-Star break strong and then get ready to get ready to get into the playoffs and just continue to stay with it, stay with it, stay the course, stay the course, because I feel like we’re.. .we are still the best team out there. We have to put it all together.”

Bill Simmons has noticed one aspect of Jaylen Brown’s game that he is not really a fan.
“Jailena’s offense was very difficult to watch,” Simmons said. “I could give you a million stats, you can look them up. But his 2-point shooting is low on his 3-point shooting and he’s added a few things to his game that I just don’t like.
“There’s like this flat-footed drop that he has on the foul line now. I can’t stand it.”
Simmons had more to say about Brown’s form.
“He looks like he’s doing Rambo First Blood part 2 or Predator as Stallone in the 80s.” He’s like really stiff to the point where I’m starting to wonder if that’s made him a little stiffer.”
Brown is looking to bounce back after a tough game against the Lakers. He can add Simmons to the list of people to prove him wrong.
