Cade Cunningham hilariously pleads with fans to watch the Pistons on League Pass
The Detroit Pistons have fought their way back into relevance this season, and that’s largely thanks to their consistent appearances Cade Cunninghamwho worked hard to become an All-Star caliber player. On Monday evening, The Pistons moved to 22-21 on the season after a huge 107-96 win over the Houston Rockets — and in doing so, they’ve already eclipsed their win total last year by eight.
However, it seems as if the perception of the Pistons from the fans has not yet changed. After being the doormat of the league for the better part of the past five seasons, it’s understandable that there’s a bit of a lag in how they’re viewed and how well they’re performing. Regardless, Cunningham, who was a guest on TNT’s NBA Show Tuesday night, begged for the fans to turn on their TVs, go to League Pass and give the Pistons a shot — especially when his spot as an All-Star starter is on the line.
“Maybe they didn’t watch us play.” If you get a chance, get the (NBA) League Pass, check us out and I think I might audition for you there,” Cunningham said. “More than anything, I think my team is playing at a high level.” We’re winning games, competing for the playoffs. And that’s what everybody wanted from the Pistons this year.”
Indeed, the Pistons were expected to improve on last season’s atrocious 14-68, but not too many fans could have predicted the way they would compete for a playoff spot in 2025. Cunningham’s play was at the heart of Detroit’s effort, as he was phenomenal throughout the year, he averaged 24.5 points, 6.5 rebounds and 9.3 assists — stuffing the stats every night.
at this moment, Cunningham should be a fixture on the All-Star teamwith the fact that the only question is whether he will be voted among the starters.

What a difference a year has made for Cade Cunningham, Pistons

This time last year, the Pistons were languishing; it wasn’t that long ago that they were in the midst of a historic losing streak, and as of today in 2024, their record was a paltry 4-38. Much of the credit for this turnaround has to go to Cade Cunningham, but head coach JB Bickerstaff also deserves his credit for righting the ship for the league’s worst team.
The Pistons’ veteran additions Tobias Harris, Malik Beasley and Tim Hardaway Jr. have also worked like a charm, while the team’s youngsters such as Jalen Duren and Ausar Thompson, not to mention the injured Jaden Ivey, have continued to thrive as well.
