Alabama’s Jalen Milro is making a major move ahead of the 2025 NFL Draft

Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe has signed with Klutch Sports Group, as Klutch announced on X, formerly Twitter, on Wednesday afternoon.

“Welcome Jalen Milroe to our 2025 NFL draft Class!” the post has been read.

The decision is a big step for Milroe, who followed former No. 1 pick Bryce Young to the Crimson Tide in 2023 and has been the team’s starter ever since. Milroe is a divisive NFL prospect after his two-year tenure at Alabama, which certainly had its ups and downs. In his first year as the full-time starter, Milroe threw for 2,834 yards and 23 touchdowns to just six interceptions in Nick Saban’s final season in Tuscaloosa.

Although Milro was eligible to declare for the draft after the 2023 season, he opted to return for his redshirt junior year under new head coach Cullen DeBoer, but saw his passing production take a hit. Although he threw for more yards (2,844) in 2024, he saw his touchdowns drop to 16 and his interceptions drop to 11.

Even with the setback in the air, Milroe made up for lost production on the ground, where he ran for 726 yards and 20 rushing touchdowns, which was second among all FBS quarterbacks.

In its evaluation process, Pro Football Focus has Milroe ranked fourth best KB in class (70th in total), Doc CBS Sports lists him as KB3 and up to a total of 45.

Your view of Milro probably depends on whether you believe the team can mold him into a better passer. While Milro has certainly had his share of highlight plays, he has also been known to hold onto the ball too long and make poor decisions under pressure.

His up-and-coming nature was epitomized in a pair of games during the 2024 season, starting with a Sept. 28 game against No. 2 Georgia, where he lit up the Bulldog defense for 374 yards and two touchdowns while completing over 81 percent of his passes.

“Bad Milroe” was evident in the team loss to Oklahoma on Nov. 23which likely knocked the Crimson Tide out of the College Football Playoff. Milro threw three interceptions and completed a whopping 42.3 percent of his passes in a 24-3 rout in Norman.

Klutch was compiling an impressive roster of 2025 NFL Draft playersincluding some of Milroe’s Alabama teammates such as offensive lineman Tyler Booker, defensive lineman Timothy Smith and linebacker Jihad Campbell.
