Patrick Mahomes‘The family has received heartbreaking news about their grandfather, Randy Mahomes.
“My dad went into hospice and I’m at a loss for words,” Patrick’s mother, Randi Mahomi, announced on her Instagram story on Friday, January 24.
“Children, obey your parents in everything, because this pleases the Lord,” she added.
At this time, there is no word on what illness Randi is suffering from, but Patrick’s mother asked for prayers for Randi last September.
“Prayer warriors please pray for my father. He is in the hospital and not well.. (7k prayer Emojis) His name is Randi,” Patrick wrote on Ks.

Bad news follows a huge game for Patrick and the Kansas City Chiefs. The team is looking to win AFC Championship Game Sunday against the Buffalo Bills so they can achieve the historic feat of winning back-to-back Super Bowls.
“It’s the AFC Championship game; you have to put everything on the line to win and try to get to the Super Bowl,” Mahomi said. “This is a great football team that we’re going up against, so we’re all going to go there and give it everything we’ve got. Chiefs Kingdom is always passionate, they’re always loud. I’d just say let’s even take it, let’s see how loud that place really is can get. I always appreciate the love and support they show for us.”
