Eagles fans will love Quinjon Mitchell on injuries in the NFC Championship Game

On Wednesday, the Eagles took a step through preparation for Sunday’s NFC Championship Game at Lincoln Financial Field against Washington Commanders. Coach Nick Siriani informed journalists who quarterback Jalen Hurts (knee) and cornerback Quinyon Mitchell (shoulder) would be included, and both players participated.

If the Eagles had had a full practice, both Hurts and Mitchell would have participated in a limited capacity. Mitchell, who is coming off Sunday’s win during the first defensive drive, said: “I feel good, I’m ready to go this week. I just tried to get a grip, like I felt something in the shoulder/neck area, I just couldn’t get back.”

Quinjon Mitchell’s first year with the Eagles

Mitchell played a key role in the Eagles’ secondary this season, matching up with veteran Darius Slay Jr. on the outside. Mitchell’s ability to shut down opposing wide receivers has been vital to the Eagles’ success, and his potential return next week gives a big boost to a team pushing for a Super Bowl appearance.

Tight end Dallas Goedertwho totaled eight catches for 103 yards and a touchdown in the playoffs, would be held out of practice with an ankle injury. Pro Bowl center Cam Jurgens, who played every offensive snap during the playoffs, would miss practice with a back injury.

The rest of the team would participate in practice, at least on a limited basis. Britain Covey, who was activated for a 21-day training period on Wednesday, was limited in practice with a neck injury that landed him on injured reserve.
