Even Jimmy Butler laughed at Kevin Love’s IG post
The the next chapter in Jimmy Butler’s saga with the Miami Heat it happened Friday night when Butler returned from a seven-game suspension after requesting a trade from the team. His return didn’t help the Heat get the results they were looking for, as they lost to the Denver Nuggets at home 133-113.
Butler didn’t play all that bad in his comeback after taking about two weeks off due to suspension, the star forward scored 18 points on 7-for-15 shooting. He finished second on the team in scoring behind Tyler Hero, who scored 22.
While Butler was suspended, the Heat thrived Kevin Love posted the “I’m not fucking leaving” scene from The Wolf of Wall Street, with the caption “LIVE WATCH – Jimmy after his date with Mickey #getmijoiback” in reference to Butler’s comments about losing joy to court with heat. Butler rejected multiple titles by liking the post.
After the game against the Nuggets, Butler he finally spoke on liking the post, via Zachary Weinberger of ClutchPoint.

“I laugh a lot,” Butler said. “I’ll tell you, my happiness off the court is at an all-time high.” I have a baby, I have my friends, lots of Domino’s and coffee involved. I like Kev, but he’s no more petty than me and gives me a run for my money.”
Despite the memes and jokes, it still does things are unlikely to work out between Butler and Heath and it seems that this will only be solved by trade. Multiple teams have continued to show interest in Butler over the past few weeks, even while he hasn’t played, including the Suns, who appear to remain the most active suitors.
As long as his trade request is a distraction to the Heat, Pat Riley and company will want to get rid of him sooner rather than later. The loss drops the Heat to 20-20 on the season, which puts them in ninth place in the Western Conference, but getting additional players and assets in a possible Butler trade could help them move up the standings.
