Key Bills defensive starter clears concussion protocol during Broncos game

Johnson has cleared the concussion protocol, according to the team’s social media. He is questionable to return with neck injury.

This is big news for the defense bills. Johnson is one of the most important parts of Buffalo’s secondary. He is sticky in coverage and plays regularly in the slot, which allows him to get active in the run game as well.

Johnson returned to the field for Buffalo’s next defensive possession in the second quarter.

Just because Johnson is questionable to return doesn’t mean he’s guaranteed to play the rest of the game. However, it confirms that the early knock he suffered did not cause an injury serious enough to rule him out for the rest of the game.
