Steelers make history wrong in first half against Ravens
During the first half of their Wild Card matchup against Baltimore Ravenshead coach Mike Tomlin and the Pittsburgh Steelers made history which no horrible towel owner will be happy about, according to ESPN on X.
“First time Pittsburgh has been shut out in the first half in a postseason game,” the NFL wrote on the ESPN account, following the poor first half performance.
After trailing 21-0 after two quarters of play in their Wild Card battle against the RavensSteelers fans are rightly upset with Tomlin.
However, when dissecting the Steelers’ first-half performance over their last six playoff games, it gets worse for Tomlin, per Alex Kozori on Ks.
“The Steelers have been outscored 73-0 in the first quarter of their last six playoff games,” Kozora wrote. “They haven’t scored a point in the first quarter in four straight games.” They have been outscored 47-3 in the first frame in their last five games.”
Yes, you read that right. Pittsburgh has been outscored 73-0 in the first quarter of the last six playoff games.
Although many praise him for his role in one of the most impressive streaks in the NFLthe postseason appears to be a completely different beast for Tomlin and the Steelers.

Being successful enough to make the playoffs but not having success in the postseason is not a recipe for prosperity.
In effect, it keeps the Steelers out of contention for higher draft picks, increasing their chances of selecting a franchise quarterback.
Considering Ben Roethlisberger was with the Steelers for 18 seasons, Pittsburgh isn’t incredibly well-versed in drafting at the quarterback position.
And following their recent Kenny Pickett’s failed experimentThe Steelers are still without a franchise quarterback.
Of course they do Russell Wilson and Justin Fieldsbut neither quarterback has shown he can be a franchise quarterback for the Steelers.
Now, after another wild card exit for Tomlin and the Steelers, they’ve done it in historic fashion. It just wasn’t the kind of history Pittsburgh fans would have liked.
