Why the 76ers could cover the spread/win

Joel Embiid still doesn’t have three games left, hurting the 76ers. Unfortunately, the popular pick of the Eastern Conference contenders ended up falling short this season, and the Sixers look nothing like the team many expected them to be. Instead, the Sixers are five games out of the last playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. While the absence of Embiid hurt them, the lack of Paul George in the regular lineup was also a problem.

The two missed the last game against the Bucks and that was a significant reason why they lost. Unfortunately, a terrible second and third quarter put the game out of reach, and the Sixers couldn’t recover. Tyrese Maxey tried his best but finished with 25 points while shooting 10 for 31 from the floor. Kelly Oubre Jr. had 21 points while shooting g 8 for 18. Likewise, Andre Drummond finished with 10 points while shot 4 for 8.

Barring any setbacks, George can play in this game. However, everything depends on what happens on Saturday, as the Sixers are in Indianapolis for a battle with the Indiana Pacers. Regardless, the 76ers need to figure out who is going to shoot the ball in order to take pressure off Maxey. Last time they shot 41.8 percent from the floor, including 25.8 percent from threes. Ultimately, this team has to figure out ways to create open space and shoot the ball.

Although they won the battle last time 49-46, including 17 offensive rebounds, it did not change the result. This is where the defense has to step up and play better in order for the offense to have a better chance of success. Last time out, they allowed the Bucks to shoot 53.8 percent from the floor, including 42.3 percent from three. The defense only blocked two shots and that has to change.

The 76ers will cover the spread if Maxey and the forward can find better shots and create more open space. Next, the defense has to contain the Bucks, including one of the best in the world.

Why Dollars Could Cover the Spread/Win

Giannis Antetokounmpo continues to achieve incredible feats and leads the Bucks into this crucial game with the Sixers. As usual, he will be the main attraction as the Bucks welcome the 76ers to the Forum. Antetokounmpo played well last time out, with 25 points and 14 rebounds while shooting 8-for-11 from the floor. However, someone else took over.

Damian Lillard led the way with 30 points and nine rebounds while shooting 9 for 19. So, expect him to be another difficult predictability in this offense. Taurean Prince was good and did well last time out when he had 16 points while shooting 6 for 7 from the floor. Bobby Portis had 16 points to help the effort. The Bucks played incredibly in the second and third quarters and pulled away. Overall, their shooting was excellent, and they kept the Sixers on their heels.

While the Bucks lost the battle at the plate, it didn’t hurt them at all, as they adjusted and still played fantastic defense. Furthermore, their nine blocked shots proved to be the difference.

The Bucks will cover the spread if they can continue to shoot the rock well. Next, Antetokounmpo and friends need to play solid defense and not give Maki some space.

Final 76ers-Bucks Prediction & Pick

The 76ers are 13-24-2 against the spread, while the Bucks are 19-21-1 against the spread. Furthermore, the Sixers are 9-10-1 against the spread on the road, while the Bucks are 9-11-1 against the spread at home. The 76ers are 11-13-1 against the spread when facing the Eastern Conference, while the Bucks are 15-18-1 against the odds when facing the East.

It’s hard to believe the 76ers, especially when their third best player is always injured. In contrast, the Bucks have everything at their disposal. That’s why I’m rolling with the Bucks to blow out the 76ers and cover the spread at home.

Final 76ers-Bucks Prediction & Pick: Milwaukee Bucks: -10.5 (-112)
