4 key teams could help facilitate a Jimmy Butler Heat trade
The Miami Heat I’ve had enough Jimmy Butler and his antics after the 35-year-old trade demand forward. Butler, who hasn’t been shy about expressing his feelings about a potential trade, may be on Phoenix Sunsfamously, he was suspended by the team again, this time for two games as he missed the team flight leading up to the Heat’s Thursday night battle against the Milwaukee Bucks.
Simply put, something has to give way in this feud between Butler and the Heat organization. This is a ticking time bomb, and it might be best for the Heat to trade him to avoid letting this rot fester within the franchise. Regardless, Sun and heat are far from perfect trading partnersas the former is currently above the latter tax bracket and their biggest trade chip, Bradley Beal, has a no-trade clause, which could therefore allow him to block any deal.
But supposedly there are as many as four teams in the NBA that could step up and grease the wheels of a potential trade between the Heat and Suns, according to Vincent Goodwill of Yahoo Sports.
“There have been whispers of the Washington Wizards and Toronto Raptors also getting involved, but it looks like the momentum is toward getting this done soon, maybe in the next few days.” Detroit (Pistons) and Charlotte (Hornets) could also act as facilitators for a big deal, sources told Yahoo Sports,” Goodwill wrote.
It’s no coincidence that the teams that could be involved in a multi-team trade that could help Butler get to the Suns are either rebuilding teams (Wizards, Raptors, Hornets) or a team with plenty of cap space (Pistons). They will need to be compensated with a draft pick for their problems, making them ideal candidates to absorb unwanted contracts.

Bradley Beal’s contract is a sticking point in the Jimmy Butler trade talks between the Suns and the Heat

There’s a world where the Heat love Bradley Beal too much to not have to demand buy-in from other teams to possibly absorb the 31-year-old’s hefty contract. But The Heat want no part of Beal’s contractcomplicating Jimmy Butler’s potential move to the Suns.
Beal’s no-trade clause is also a major hurdle; teams like the Pistons or Hornets could absorb his contract, but the 31-year-old guard still has the final say on where he plays. And with The Milwaukee Bucks are reportedly not that interested in Beal as initially thought, then the Suns and Heat will have to cook up something complicated just so both sides can get what they want.
